Bitches

Okay. I usually don't fish for compliments but... do any of you find fault with my fashion choices?

Scott and I love Qdoba.
Like so much.
We've been there more than a handful of times in just a couple of months.
So craving Mexican gumbo, we embarked on a journey to sate our desirous bellies.
We're in the zone, you know, doing our own thing when a table away, we hear these dastardly hyena laughs coming from four pre-teen girls.
Scott gets up for a napkin.
One of the girls turns around with a Regina-George-Mean-Girls kind of face and says, "I really like your sweater."
Taking karma's advice I narrowed my eyes and meekly said, "Thank you."
Immediately, the table bursts out in laughter.
"I CAN'T BELIEVE SHE THINKS HER SWEATER IS COOL!!!"
Scott sits back down and brunette Regina George pokes him in the back.
He ignores her.
She attacks twice.
"I REALLY LIKE YOUR SCARF TOO!"
Insert hyena laughter here.

I was totally that girl.
Except at 21 years of age...
it felt good not to care.
Because, I mean, those bitches can't even drive yet.

  1. You should have been like, "Thank you! I really like your personality. I don't think I was ever that mature when I was twelve."

  2. She would have cleared her thought and been like "I'm thirteen. Thank you very much!" and that would have been hilarious

  3. It seems that through discussing this with Julie, I have made a temporary hobby out of coming up with comebacks for this (actually I do it for many situations.. often when it is too late) but here are my two new ones. Hope they cheer you up!

"what are you 13. Grow up a little bit. Its called a style. Unlike you, I don't wear this because I think its cool. I wear it because I like it. Maybe you will understand when you are old enough to not have to ask your older brother or sister to buy you alcohol, but for now, go sit down with your friends and eat your food.. while dreaming of all of the people who you wish were checking you out because you think your outfit is cool. Personally, I think its a little too much. You aren't Jennifer Lopez or Carmen Electra, and you are at Qdoba, not the Playboy Mansion. Next time you go shopping, find a salesperson and ask what they would recommend.. and remember this moment so that in the future you don't accidentally try to insult someone who is way out of your league."

"You know what we both have in common. We both had someone buy our food for us. My boyfriend bought mine and your mom bought yours."
